My growing awareness of the very real benefits of ionic foot spas and its most common side effect (detox and contentment) has led me to create and grow this site. It doesn't matter to me which spa you choose. If my site can help you to choose the right one for you, I'd love to hear it and if you need help, just let me know.

KNOW BEFORE BUYING

ION OUTPUT: The best foot spa will properly ionize at the same level no matter the water quality during the beginning, middle, and end of the session. There will be no "peak" ionization period when the water is clean.

BEWARE: If you see a really high powered machine that is selling for really cheap, make sure you know what the arrays are made of. High carbon steel alloy material that doesn't leech is WAY WAY more expensive. These alloys are very expensive commodities. The cheaper arrays could be made out of lead and the last thing you want is to have the lead leach out into your footbath....The goal is to get detoxed and not poisoned!

Ionic Theory: In the world of physics..........An ion is a charged atom that has lost an electron. Once it loses this electron, it creates a magnetic attraction field that is capable of neutralizing oppositely-charged particles. These oppositely charged particles are really the toxins that have built up in your body over the course of your lifetime. If the ions can attach themselves to the toxins, they can rid the body of these poisons and improve your state of health. Some manufacturers claim that their ionic foot spas create alternating flows between negative(-) and positive(+)ions. But,again, going back to the basic laws of physics, we know that opposites poles attract and like repel. So, this being said, the negatively charged hydrogen ion, created through the ionization process would attract and neutralize the positively charged toxins in your body. When this occurs,the toxins (in theory) would be eliminated through the skin. With the ionic foot spas, these toxins get eliminated mainly through the feet. If the ionization process produces both positively and negatively charged hydrogen ions then they would not attract as many positively charged toxins that are stored in your body. If this is the case, then these toxins will not be removed from your body as efficiently...This is assuming that your body is in a totally alkaline state. Some manufacturers feel that not everyone is in a total alkaline state and the creation of both types of ions will help balance the body and actually result in a better detox session.

Amperage & Voltage Considerations

WARNING ON HIGH AMPERAGE FOOT SPAS:

Many people are complaining that they get very sleepy during the bath but engergized afterward. This is because they are are stirring up toxins and its not that they are getting relaxed, it's that they are creating a toxic whirlpool that can't be eliminated so fast. Either they are using too much power or they need to shorten their session. It is a similar feeling to when people feel so relaxed after going into a hot tub. It's the exhaustion from soaking and breathing in chlorine, not so much the heat. Don't confuse exhaustion from toxic overload with relaxation. It's called DETOXING TOO QUICKLY. So, buy the highest amperage you need and don't just go for the highest amperage out there like I first did.

The Amperage Ranges: 1.8 to 5.5 Amps (at peak--but can ramp down as well)

The Voltage Ranges: Most footbath units run from12 to 15 volts...There is 1 manufacturer that runs 24 volts! Their contention is that the laws of physics (Bohr's Law) states that you need at least 13.6 volts for proper ionization detoxification. Stay tuned on this one! do you pick out the right amperage and voltage?

MOST PEOPLE that are slightly water malabsorbent need 1.6 to 1.8 amps. The best unit can use just tap water and you don't have to keep adding salt depending on your own conductivity level. NOT ALL FOOT SPAS NEED SALT. IT IS ONLY USED TO INCREASE THE CONDUCTIVITY BETWEEN ONES OWN PERSONAL NEEDS AND THE UNIT. EVERYONE'S SKIN HAS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CONDUCTIVITY. WATER MALABSORBENT PEOPLE WILL NEED AROUND 3 TEASPOONS OF SALT. AS ONE BECOMES LESS WATER MALABSORBENT, THE AMOUNT OF SALT NEEDED WILL LESSEN.

If you have a lower quality machine, you need to add more salt which makes the machine use less amps. But, there is a law of diminishing returns. It's like a waterfall.. You can get a wide waterfall that is very powerful or you can get a very narrow waterfall with the same output per yard. The machines that are not right for you will not work effectively for you. like.

CHEAP FOOT SPAS UNDER $1000 (TYPICALLY THOSE THAT 90% OF THE PEOPLE ARE BUYING WHO CALL ME DAILY ASKING ME WHY THEIR SPAS DON'T WORK)

ASIAN MADE FOOT SPAS NOTICE:

When I refer to Asian owned and produced foot spas, I am referring to those foot spas not made by USA owned companies in Asia (China). There are many good foot spas made in Asia (China) that I approve of. I do NOT refer to Chinese made foot spas as CHEAP JUNK like people refer to as. WHERE DO YOU THINK CHINESE MEDICINE CAME FROM. There are a lot of things that China is known for when making junk items but the foot spas happen to be where these originated from and the Chinese people who use these are even pickier about foot spas than most of us in America.

WARNING ON CHEAP IONIC FOOT SPAS:

The reason why a good footbath is important is because you want it to work! When it's using the highest strength frequencies what happens is that some toxins right under the surface may get loosened, but they can't be released through the pores because the pores aren't opened up all the way and get released back into the bloodstream. I didn't understand this before when I had my second foot spa because it already felt different than my first one I had to get rid of. So I thought it was working. When I "believed" I found the better one, I noticed a little difference, but then I bought the wrong one again. If toxins are still trapped in the body and only loosened, you can become more sick because their still inside only broken down a little. This is why this site needs to be here. Although I don't mention brands on the site, if you understand what I'm writing, you will probably find what you need on your first try. If you want a cheap one because the company swears that their technology is good, then that is your choice, but people swear all the time and they don't mean it. It's pretty sad when people just believe in something and the people giving it to them know that it's really a joke. I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE RIPPED OFF IF YOU FOUND THIS SITE! If you're thirsty and you were promised a lot of water but only get a little, you'll still be thirsty right? Get my point?

Peak Power vs Constant Power: Just because the footbath can deliver a lot of power does not mean it can deliver that power under certain circumstances. If you have the proper water in your footbath, you will NEVER pull 5 amps, maybe 3 amps at the most. Don't be fooled into buying the best and most powerful unit if you don't need it.

Amperage: The goal is to use as little amperage as possible. Higher amperage foot baths can overpower bad water conditions and eliminate the need to buy accessories such as salts, heavy duty grounding devices, and upgraded metal soaking tubs.

Automatic vs. Manual Calibration: Some units are only controlled through an automatic protocol setting while other units allow for a manual control, as well, thus letting the user have a more customized and defined detoxification session.

IONIC FOOT SPA SCAMS: Okay, I'm not gonna go into detail about this scam because it sums up the point of this whole website. Before we get into this, let's look at the premise behind ionic foot spas. In simple terms, the human body functions at best when it is in an alkaline state. When this state is disrupted due to factors such as pollution, pesticides, poor diet, smoking, chemical exposure and other poisons, the body absorbs charged ions into the bloodstream and tissues and as a result, becomes acidic. If the body is exposed over long periods of time and remains in this acidic state, disease and other health issues may result.

Ionic foot spas are being used now to excrete "heavy" metals from the body. Heavy metals mainly include:

aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury. If these heavy metals build up in the body, the body becomes

"toxic", ultimately effecting the various organs, tissues and systems.

In order to eliminate the toxic buildup,ionic foot spa maufacturers create an "array" with ionizing plates that produce a current that is placed in a foot bath with the "patients" feet submerged underwater. This causes

negative and positive ions to be produced--the bubbling effect. By creating this environment, the footbath

will assist the body's natural ability to purge itself of toxins that have accumulated due to harmful toxic exposure.

If you're talking to a IONIC FOOT SPA company and they start talking about elaborate things that really shouldn't be topics for your product purchase just hang up. So many of these companies have imitation products that they need to talk about other things to get your mind off of the fact that they can't prove their technology and that their product is really inferior. They just talk about what their competitors are doing (or not doing!), pretending they are better when they're exactly the same as their neighbor. If you get a bad sense, JUST HANG UP!

THERE'S TOO MANY "PLAYERS" IN THE IONIC FOOT SPA GAME THAT YOU CAN PURCHASE FROM THAT ARE LEGITIMATE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THE HAVE NOTS!
