To the owner of DetoxFootBathReview.com,

Enforcement of Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy

(I will reword this as I don't have permission to post it)

They are trying to tell me that I cannot advertise prices under what their retail price is. They said I could throw in freebies to offset the cost. I did that and now they tell me I cannot throw in as much value as I was, which what they said damages their product line value. So, to protect their interest, I make no claims like, "call for best price", or "prices too low to advertise", or any other play on words. I SIMPLY HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER UP FOR PEOPLE TO CALL ME IF THEY WANT.

They call this "Minimum advertised pricing" (MAP). I think it's just a way of control. Why should they care as long as they get their wholesale money. Why does it matter? They didn't say and cannot control what I give away or charge when people call me. It is only what is "advertised" on my website. The companies, especially the popular brands that people actually want, are the ones doing it.

What bothers me the most is when I give someone a really good price, they contact every other dealer and see if they can beat it. Then they tell the manufacture I am charging too little and the manufacturer calls me up asking me to raise my prices so their dealers don't leave them? Can I charge what I want as long as I don't advertise it or what? Either I can or I can't.
